For this Episode title "EPISODE: 1", Gemma finds her perfect life going to an end after armed police raid her residence and arrest her man Steve on suspicion associated with murder. Gemma finds it hard to to generate sense of the overwelming judicial system, but believes in the woman's husband's innocence. After she visits Steve for once, Gemma meets three other women called Francesca, Lou and Harriet. Each have their own story and their own set of secrets. Gemma's belief in Steve begins to wane after she realises that he has no alibi. Gemma looks around loved ones caravan where she understands a gun. After Gemma confronts the woman husband, he tells her this individual did kill someone nevertheless it was a mistake. Gemma ends up walking from Steve. After Gemma returns homes she discovers that her house has flooded and asks Francesca for help and in addition they soon become friends.
